Liberating Kyiv Oblast. Humanitarian Missions to Borodianka-Makariv

04.04.2022, 00:27

On April 2, 2022, Kyiv oblast was liberated. Thus, our top priority task for April 2-4 was humanitarian provision for liberated villages and towns.

The volunteers of the ANTYTILA Charity Foundation had two large trips with aid convoys for Borodianka – Myrcha – Talske – Koblytsia – Andriivka – Makariv on the first and third days after de-occupation. Humanitarian warehouses (garages, in some cases) were just beginning to get organized involving the locals; people were mostly receiving food outdoors. When driving between villages, we were often passing mines, as they hadn’t managed to demine this area yet.

In the course of the second trip, the situation in Borodianka was already a lot better while neighboring villages as well as villages of Makariv community were remaining unsupplied, so we were bringing aid to those places where it was at most possible.

In total, 5 vehicles of food and means for hygiene were delivered. Those must have been enough for the near future until the roads further would become safe.
